Elie Pellegrin - sculptures bois

I have bought 2 wooden statues signed "Elie Pellegrin" in Belgium:
- Monk (?) with 4 small birds
- Maria with child (Also signed : Les Praz de Chamonix 1946)

I can't find any information on this wood sculptor. Does anybody have any information ?
